Our Story
Back in Play started with something personal. I grew up knowing how much sports can shape a kid’s life - the confidence it builds, the friendships it creates, the sense of belonging it gives. As I got older, I began noticing something that didn’t sit right with me: so many kids wanted to join sports, but the cost of equipment was quietly keeping them on the sidelines. At the same time, I saw families with perfectly good gear collecting dust in garages and closets.
I realized the problem wasn’t lack of interest — it was lack of access. And the solution could be simple: bring communities together to give every kid a fair chance.
Back in Play was born from that idea.
Today, we collect and redistribute gently-used sports equipment to help kids get started, stay involved, and feel supported. It’s a movement built around opportunity, community, and giving gear a second life so children can have their first shot.
I founded Back in Play with one belief:
every kid deserves the chance to play, grow, and feel like they belong.
And that’s the mission we’re committed to every day.
